Barrington Hills Teen Colin Newman Identified as Victim of Fatal Crash
BARRINGTON HILLS, Ill. — A community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 17-year-old Colin M. Newman, a student at Barrington Hills High School, who died following a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.
According to police, officers responded at approximately 2:20 a.m. to the area near Brinker and Hills and Dales roads, where they discovered a serious crash involving three teenagers.
When first responders arrived, they found Colin had been ejected from the vehicle. Officers immediately began lifesaving measures, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the victim as Colin M. Newman, 17, of Barrington.
Authorities said two other occupants of the vehicle were transported to area hospitals for treatment. Their current conditions have not been released.
